Rift
This piece explores transformation and the fluidity of form. The layered, organic shapes suggest effects of motion and change on solids, liquids and gasses and upon animal, vegetable and mineral matter. The mesh and textile elements represent the constructed, subjective nature if identity and experience, while the undulating, flowing forms evoke the passage of time and the impermanence of identity and form, including the permeable boundaries between self and other.
